For years, the gold standard for skin resurfacing was mechanical microneedling. Bio Spicule Therapy is the next evolution. It offers the same profound collagen stimulation and resurfacing benefits, but it uses biology rather than metal needles.

I use a specialist serum containing hydrolysed spicules derived from marine sponges. These microscopic structures are massaged into the skin, where they penetrate deep into the dermis. This creates millions of micro-channels, waking up the skin's healing mechanism and accelerating cell turnover.

It is phenomenal for treating acne scarring, active acne, pigmentation, and deep-set texture issues.

This is an advanced treatment. I need to assess your skin barrier to ensure it is strong enough to handle the rapid exfoliation. It is suitable for most skin types, including those with active congestion.

The Treatment

The spicule solution is massaged firmly into the skin. You will feel a sensation of heat and "prickliness." This is the spicules embedding themselves in the skin. They remain there for up to 72 hours, continuously stimulating the skin before naturally exfoliating out.

The Result

This is a transformative peel. Over the next 3-5 days, your old skin will shed to reveal a completely fresh, smooth, and brighter complexion underneath. The results on scarring and texture are often visible after just one session.

Expert Guidance

Does it hurt?

It is not painful, but it is a unique sensation. When I touch your skin during the treatment (and for 24 hours after), it will feel "spicy" or "prickly," almost like touching nettles or fibreglass. This means it is working.

Will I peel?

Yes. Most clients experience visible peeling starting around day 3. This varies from light flaking to sheet peeling, depending on your skin's hydration levels.

Can I treat active acne?

Yes. Unlike traditional microneedling which can spread bacteria, Bio Spicule therapy is anti-inflammatory and excellent for killing acne bacteria while treating the scars left behind.
