Realistic Expectations
Biology is Variable
While Anti-Wrinkle injections are statistically safe and predictable, every patient's anatomy is unique.
The Timeline: This is not an instant treatment. You will see no change for 3-5 days. Full results appear at 14 days. We cannot assess the success of the treatment or perform adjustments before this two-week period has passed.
Asymmetry: It is normal for one side of the face to take faster than the other during the settling period. This usually resolves itself by day 14.
Static Lines: This treatment relaxes muscles to smooth dynamic lines (lines that appear when you move). It may not erase static lines (deep creases present when resting), though these may soften over consecutive treatments.
Immediate Side Effects
You may experience the following immediately post-treatment. These are standard biological responses, not complications.
Injection Bumps: Small, bee-sting like bumps at the injection site. These typically resolve within 20-30 minutes.
Bruising: A small bruise at the injection site is always a possibility, regardless of technique. Plan your social calendar accordingly.
Mild Headache: A heavy feeling or mild headache is common in the first 24 hours as the muscles begin to relax.
Adverse Reactions
While rare, individual sensitivities can occur.
Heaviness/Ptosis: In very rare cases (less than 1%), the product can migrate to the eyelid muscle, causing a temporary droop. This is not permanent and will resolve as the product wears off. Eye drops can be prescribed to manage this.
Spock Brow: Occasionally, the outer brow may lift excessively. This is easily corrected with a small adjustment dose at the 14-day review.
Flu-like Symptoms: Extremely rarely, a client may feel general malaise or fatigue for 24 hours post-treatment.
Important Note on Sensitivity:
If you have a history of hypersensitivity or autoimmune responses, your healing capability may differ. I provide the highest standard of clinical care, but I cannot control your body's unique immune response. If you experience unusual swelling or anxiety regarding your recovery, please contact the clinic immediately.
The Aftercare Rulebook
To ensure the product settles correctly, you must adhere to the following for 24 Hours:
Do NOT rub or massage the treated area.
Do NOT lie flat for 4 hours post-treatment.
Do NOT exercise vigorously (sweating/running).
Do NOT wear tight hats or headbands across the forehead.
Do NOT drink alcohol excessively.
Failure to follow these protocols can increase the risk of product migration and adverse effects.
